Camcorder Evaluation Pleez?

Question

Hello friendly masses, i really would like to purchase a video camera, probably mainly for shooting short movies, and i dont need like "CUTTING EDGE TECHNOLOGY" i just need a camera that will capture quality video. SO would someone out there who actually knows what all this techno-jargon means please tell me if this is a good camera?

Stick to the major brands like Sony/Panasonic/Canon for good quality camcorders.

Also, most camcorders have similar features. Check CNET.com for reviews.

Critical one for camcorders is "low light performance". ie, would it record viewable videos in low light. I have tested some cameras which are really worse even in regularly lit living-rooms. Sony and Panasonics used to be good, but some brands are better than other. So, test it yourself.
