Camcorder Question ASAP?

Ok so i have a camcorder and a stand, i like to record my video games that i play on my tv. when i put the camcorder to record the tv i want it to just fit the screen not show anything else. when i record it shows my stuff on the walls for example a poster. how can i fix this to get just the tv?

it's gonna take a combination of your zoom and the physical positioning of your tripod to accomplish that which you desire.  

A couple of alternative methods for recording your video games: 1) Connect your VCR between your console and your TV (could be a problem for recording HD from your console) or 2) getting a video capture card for your computer.  These methods will only capture only the video signal coming out of your video console.
