Camcorder Question- UCS2 Battery w/ cable??

Question

So I've been searching the web and I'm still totally lost...I have an old Canon UCS2 8mm Video Camcorder. The battery is totally dead...and I'm trying to watch the old HI8 tapes...it didn't come with any sort of battery charger..(unless I lost it) but it does have this..thin battery with a cable coming out of the back, you can connect the thin battery to the camcorder...but what the heck do you plug it into?? I'm so lost...maybe I misplaced a part?
