Camcorder Repair?

Hi, I have a sony hdr cx7 and would like to know what should i do with it? It keeps shutting off abrubtly with a "battery low problem" its not the battery since that works fine. I dont know if i should sell it or if i should repair it, and if so how much would it cost and could i repair it myself, it would be helpful for links etc.
