Camcorder digital Zoom multi function?

Question

I have a Sony camcorder - 560xdigital zoom,. Old (yes like me) oap and am finding it too heavy to handle as i do a lot of movie work for our dog club. and also the zoom function has stopped zooming!!! I want a camcorder that is multi functional, dvd, (i do not have anywhere to put a small card into) just the dvd into my tower. Price range £l50-£180ish

I'm not sure what you mean by "multi-functional" - stills and video?  I'm not sure what you mean by a "small card" either - do you mean there's no space in your PC to add something like a firewire card, or are you talking about memory cards?

I'm reluctant to recommend any DVD camcorder as they're more trouble than they're worth, but the link is for Jessops' camcorders less than £200.  You need to try a camcorder for yourself before buying it - regardless of the technical specs, many of which are meaningless (like digital zoom!!), it has to be as intuitive as possible and feel "right".

BTW, our camcorders may be "old", but we are "mature"!
