Camcorder editing- I have 2 holiday tapes which I wish to join together after editing & then copy to DVD-how?

Please suggest an editing programme which will enable me to do this.At the moment I am using Pinnacle Studio 10.6-but cannot achieve what I want to do

You should be able to do that with pinacle studio 10. Import your first video and add it to the timeline, then open your second video and add it to the timeline. I am using pinnacle studio 11 plus. With this program I am able to put video files from my canon A570 IS digital camera and video files from my canon elura camcorder and then put stills from my digital camera all into 1 project, as well as add music, etc.

first you need to get them onto your PC if you have enough room, Avi best Mpeg OK.

I normally import the files into 10 min sections, then rewind 5 seconds and then do the next, keeps the files smaller

Import them into your video editing package, I use Premiere but that's a bit expensive (can get trial from adobe.com)  try Nero used to use that simple to use and good results.

once you have edit it added music titles whatever you are going to do with it, then burn it. sit back and wait.

Hi.. You should be able to do what you need to do with Pinnacle..I assume you have windows open the windows movie maker and try that..its quite simple Cheers
