Camcorder for under 400$ that works with iMovie?

I am looking for the best possible quality i can get for under 400 bucks. It also must work with iMovie. Any suggestions?

  1. Since the best available video quality comes from video captured by miniDV tape, we'll stay there.

    Canon ZR800 and ZR950

    Sony DCR-HV28, HC96

    Panasonic PV-GS320

    You will also need a Firewire (IEEE1394a, i.Link) 4-pin to 6-pin that will connect the camcorder DV port to the Firewire400 port on your Mac.
