I am not very technical. I would like a cheap camcorder that records straight onto a DVD that I can just slot in.

Can you recommend one?

Would I need a memory card?

  4. Forget about cams that record to a DVD, go for one with a hard drive. The JVC hard drive ones are the best in my opinion, I use one constantly though I also have a Sony & a Panasonic the JVC wins hands down.

  5. sony dvd camcorder, with a memory card slot for pictures. it can record 60 mins on dvd. it has 40x optical zoom and 2000x digital so it is the best choice for a cheap dvd camcorder
