Camcorder keep saying hit the reset button?

I have a panasonic camcorder model PV-GS14 its couple yeas old and most the time recording or playing back a video it says hit the reset button. i only used it one but the mini DV tape was inside for since i bought it

try using a different tape first. if that does not work then you need to have it repaired. the good news is that it's a very simple repair that does not require opening the camera. the tape reel gets junk in it after time and could just need to be cleaned if it's not the tape. either way you should only be charged for labor to fix it if a new tape does not work.
