Camcorder reco?

I need a good and reasonably priced camcorder. It is mainly for making videos of my kids. Any good recommendations for a reasonably priced good one?

  1. Look for entry level MiniDV camcorders from Canon, Sony, JVC or Panasonic.  Assuming you haven't already got one, you'll need to install a firewire card in your PC (about £12 / $20) and get a firewire cable.   This is so that you can capture the video on your PC and edit it.
