Camcorder to DVD HD. Upload tape onto DVD HD?

Question

Hey i've lost my lead to my camcorder and to be honest have brought loads and they don't fit. Is it possible to plug the camera into a DVD hardrive (ones you record off the telly) and upload the tape onto that hardrive using the red white yellow cables?

What sort of camcorder and what sort of DVD recorder do you have?

I doubt it the only way you can record onto a dv camera or hd

is by using the dv in/hd in  the  way you are describing is via the analogue and they have no inputs. digital input  is needed

for both unless you have a semi/pro camera
