Camcorder to webcam?

I have a Sony Handycam HDD 40X optical zoom 2000x digital zoom. Is there any way that I can use this awesome peice of technology as a webcam? I hear everything about it...that you can use one for a webcam. Please, tell me, step by step, on how to use it. thanks!
