Camcorder won't format my DVD-RW disc

Question

I just bought this darn samsung camcorder. I bought Sony DVD-RW discs and they won't format. It goes through the format process and then it says disc error. I try doing it a 2nd time and then it says NO DISC. I'm not sure what to do.
