What is the best out there for:

scenery + people.

i also would like one that is small.

but has good megapixels

what do you need in a camcorder for it to get a good sound?

like minus the breeze and such.

how much do you want to spend? i got a canon hv20 for $600 and it is AMAZING. it shoots high definition. i was just looking at some footage actually on my big screen, and it looks lovely. the audio is actually really good too. its a amateur cacmera, you could shoot a documentary on one of these babies. you can find good cameras for cheaper though also, it really just depends how serious you are about the footage your taking. but for a good camcorder for a consumer, id say you'll probably spend at least 400
