Camel Cigarette Butts Biodegradable?

Ok, so someone told me years ago that Camel cigarette butts are biodegradable. Is this true?

  1. The tobacco and paper are biodegradable, however it take 2 to 7 years for a cigarette filter to biodegrade.


  2. They were probably refering to unfiltered camels (gross!).  I am not aware of any company selling biodegradable cigarette butts.

  3. Camel ciggarette butts are made of cotton. They are completely bio degradable if they are unused. If they are used with carbon monoxide contamination, it is up to the micro molecules in the ocean to degrade them. The ocean controlls all C02 levels in the world, which is why when everyone talks about global warming, they focus on the ocean, which is an extension of the atmosphere.
