Camera Combo Question?

Im going on vacation in 2 weeks

I need to know what the best combination is for my cameras

I Have a Film SLr Pentax K1000

I also have a Sony Dcr-Trv260 Digital 8 Camcorder

I was thinkin of selling the Penax and using that money plus some money i have saved up to buy a digital camera, would you recommend selling the Film Slr for a Point and shoot camera? If so what good camera would you recommend?

Film cameras are loosing popularity.

Check the Samsung web site (Samsung own Pentax and are aiming to become a major player in digital cameras)

When you see a camera you like check the internet for the best deals.

Tesco have some great prices on compact digital cameras.

Absolutely sell that film SLR. Buy a Canon PowerShot A590IS like me and you won't look back to film again.
