    You can see some wiiiiiiide photos here. For example, 16 mm is very wide.

    Also, a telephoto lens can "bring in" an object far away. At, for example, 300 mm, the view is much narrower than at 100 mm. That is what a telephoto lens does.

    Close up is when you get close to an object--physically close. Like a photo of a bug, or something.
