I just bought a camera and I set it to 5 megapixeles and next to it it says 16:9, and when it takes the picture it look like a movie in wide screen. Could someone explain what does it mean 16:9 and why it looks like it's in wide screen? Will they develop like that if I take them to a photo store? Thanks

  1. 16:9 is the ratio closest to what the human eye sees. This is the reason HD tvs are in this resolution. It is a ratio of length to width.

No if you take these photos to be printed (on standard sizes) they will be cut off.
