I am buying my 1st digital camera and I am also interested in photography.I am 17 and I want to buy a camera that takes sharp clear and very DETAILED photos(face detection, etc.) and takes great photos at night. I don't mean to be to speciific, but I want it to be thin, sleek and portable. Nothing big and bulky, I'll work my way up to that when I get more into photography. So does anyone know of any camera's that will be a perfect fit for me or any brands to look at that has what I'm looking for and are goood?

Also I want something that's in a great price range I'm only 17 and don't have a job at the moment. So I have to go with my mothers pockets and what I have saved up from my summer job.

Also how many megapix, LCD screen, and zoom should a good camera have?

  1. The Sony cybershot-dsc-t70 is an awesome camera meeting all your specifications.  It takes exceptionally clear pictures, has face recognition, is small and will fit in your pocket.  The price depends on where you find it for sale at Circuit City it's $259.99 right now.  It comes in different colors.

Here is a link to one at Circuit City:

You can read a great review here at steves digicams.  Here is a link to this camera.  On the left of the screen is a drop down menu, use this to navigate through the review.
