Almost every day I drive past a Lambeth "Smart" car with a camera, which is always parked on a double yellow line try to catch drivers stopping in a box junction, and the restrictions clearly state no stopping between 8am and 6pm. The car is parked there at 5pm therefore outside the allowed times, is this legal?

  1. phhhht... cops don't have to obey the law!

  2. To add to the above answer........and why do cops always speed and run lights for no reasons...........they are above the law....

  3. I appreciate the irony of the situation.  That alone makes the question worth while.

The answer depends where you are located.  But if you have a local parking enforcement people, it is probably legitimate for them to park.  More often the question is: do they have the authority to write a ticket!
