Question:

Camera drenched in water?

my water split in my bag and it went all over my camera, i took it out and it wouldnt turn off, so i took out the battery and now it wont turn on... and the sides are all steamy...

what do i do? is there any way to help fix it or repair it?

  1. Just put it on top of a warm radiator for a few days (or weeks if necessary), till its snuff dry inside. Check the battery contacts for verdigris (the green coating) and clean if necessary, and most electronics will survive. Don't use a hair dryer, all electronics destroys itself above 80 degrees C. Just gentle heat for a long time.

  2. Ohh, when my camera got wet too, I put it under the sun. And make it dry.

    Or use a blower to dry it up. It`ll work.

    My cam works now. :)

  3. No. Even if you successfully open the camera, where do you go from there? Get a new camera.

  4. I dropped my 200$ phone, in a class of water...dumb...But dont mess with it, open everything you can on it, and put it in a bowl full of rice... it soaks up EVERYTHING, just make sure it's completely covered in UNCOOKED rice... I did with my phone, and after 3 days, it works perfect.
