Camera for you tube stuff?

Question

What kind of camera do most of the people use to make you tube videos? Please give details as I have no idea what moving picture camera to get and know nothing about them. Please help with as many details as you can. Nothing expensive but something that works and can pick up voice too. Please give details. Thank you! XO ps something easy to learn too. XO

I use a simple point and shoot digital camera that was 150.00 2 years ago. This type of camera today is 100.00 or less. Anything that has video capability.  I have Canon Powershot A430.

in my opinion it would be a great idea to buy Canon hg10 camcorder, its easy to use and with this camcorder you can recorder really great videos

If you are just planning on using it for youtube, i would suggest the Flip video camera.  Its a really simple camcorder that has flash memory built into it, you can either get it with 30 minutes of recording time, or 60 minutes of recording time.  The 60 minute one costs around $80 i believe.  Transfer is easy too, it has a UBS plug that "flips" out of the camera itself and you just plug it into the computer.  It's perfect for Youtube, myspace, facebook...etc, but as for watching it on a tv, def. not the best.  Hope that helps!

since you are doing things just for youtube you will not need a video camera per say (unless you have an issue with lesser sound quality). i good digital stills camera with movie mode will still give you twice as much image quality than you actually need.

most video cams are VGA and display images around 640 x 480 (give or take). youtube displays images at 320x240 so you can see it's not as important to use a high end video cam. you may already have what you need.
