Camera help! i want a good camera for good concert photos ?

im going to the jonas brothers concert and we are aloud to bring cameras. im interested in buying a new camera for not a lot of money but good quality for this concert. im looking for something that has good zoom and awesome quality at $100 or less i found some good cameras that i'm interested in, but i would like some input. i'm in the vip section for the concert on 8/26 here's the 3d chart: http://seatingcharts.livenation.com/ballena/239/ i'm in VIP Box 204. click on it and it will give u a look at the stage from my seat what kind of camera will work best in my situation. i know this is alot to ask but please please please help me! i need an answer soon so that i can buy the camera and have it here in time!

    Good luck with that. And good luck getting anything decent past 20 feet or so.


  2. i've been to that venue several times. unless you want to spend a couple thousand dollars on a telephoto lens, you're not going to get any pictures from where you are. sorry. :[

  3. You have an excellent seat for shooting IF you have a long lens ... If I was assigned to shoot that venue, from that location, I would using a 400 mm f/2.8 on my D3 ... shooting RAW image files.

    For $100 or less you will be lucky to find a P&S with a 3x optical zoom with IS that will reach out that far.  You will see from the link below, that the camera you need is more than double your budget

    NOTE:  IF you can get into the concert with a camera of any kind ... if your ticket says "No Cameras or Recording Equipment Allowed", then you can save your money and buy a good digital camera later when you can take your time and get the camera that has all the features you want.
