Camera help please--urgent

whats that camera feature that changes only certain things in black and white pictures like when ur taking the picture?

I know of no camera that can change only certain things to B&W. However photo editing software can. Most camera's can take B&W photo's but the whole picture is B&W.

monochrome

look in the Picture Style, 'My Colours' or Colour settings menu in the camera

It might be "color accent".  It's a Canon camera feature.

You shoot the picture in B&W, though  focal points you choose show up in color.

this feature is camera specific. some cameras labelled it as monochrome, some are B/W or Black and white. it depends with what camera model you have. Aside from the B&W color, some cameras can offer you to change the color to Sepia, Vivid, Gray, Solarize, Negative film etc...
