alright, i recently had my camera fall in water and had it sent to canon and they fixed it

i charged my battery for about idk 6 hours and took it out or once the light turned green and put it into my camera and it said low battery but all last night i could take pictures for about idk 30 minutes and then it went off like a blank screen but the lens didn't go in. so i restarted it and could take pictures for about 15 minutes and then recharged it

do you think its just saying that because it fell in the water? or is the battery really uncharged and on low battery

  1. battery sounds shot. Or maybe after the water got in the camera it is partially shorting the battery and draining it dry.

  2. send it back to Canon and tell them what its doing.  If you still have a warranty, they should be able to replace it for you.  Sounds like a technical/mechanical malfunction.  Could just be a software issue.  In any case, you need to get it back to the manufacturer.  Its their issue if they said they fixed it.  But usually water damage voids a warranty.  So you might have to just buy a new one.

  3. You will need to buy a new battery to find out which is the problem.  If the new battery works like it should, then your old battery is shot.  If not, then something is wrong with your camera.

  4. Try a new battery first. then go back to canon.
