Camera memory card problem?

Digital camera card saying not formatted after being connected to the pc. But it has all my week old grandaughters pictures on it and now i can't find them.Please can someone HELP x x What can I do and can I find these pictures ?

maybe its the type of memory card.. theres the SD card and then the other card (sorry, typical female answer here lol)...but my bf and i had this prblem with our holiday snaps.

if you still cnt access them try investing in a card reader.

also try installing the software disc that came with the camera again if not

Take your card to walmart or somewhere they have a machine that you can make a cd from your memory card. It only costs about $3. I dont know what is wrong, if it is the card or camera. If it is the card you will not be able to make a cd of the pics. but at least you will know.

When the card is taken out of the card reader slot without properly 'safely removing hardware' you will get the data damaged and when you want to see it again its going to say format, before it could be used, this means its damaged, I just had that today but i prefer to take the pictures when i hook up the camera to the pc and leave the digital card inside therefore avoiding these situations,

so safely remove the hardware

restart the computer and try it again you might still have it don't press format!
