Camera no microphone?

Question

I can hear & see my family but they can only see me. Camera says microphone is not plugged in. Cann't find an exta wire. Bought a microphone, plugged it in & I get the same answer/

First of all, what type of camera is it, second of all make sure the camera/microphone software is loaded correctly.

When you do load the software, don't plug in your camera or microphone unless prompted by the software.

Most camera/microphone software will have a diognosis page where you can test your camera/microphone to see if it is working with your computer.

Also be aware of your computers capability to use your camera/microphone.  Does it support your operating system, your RAM, disk space etc etc.
