i bought a tiny 33mm micro camera and i thought the picture would include objects in the distance pretty much up close, yet objects 3 feet away seem pretty far. Is this beacause of the size of the camera lens?.

  1. Yes it is the lens. The lens is a wide angle. It is designed to do that. It will probably focus very close though. The human eye sees at about 50mm so this would be considered normal. Anything below 50mm is wide angle and anything above is considered telephoto. These dimensions are based on a 35mm camera. Most digital cameras use a smaller sensor than 35mm film so the focal lengths of the lenses will be different depending on the size of the sensor.
