Camera sound trouble :(?

My digital panasonic camera doesn't seem to be working right. the video and everything else is right, but when I take my video and play it back on the camera or the t.v, the sounds stop playing and just hop around all over the place. its not out of sync, but every second the sound is lost then comes back then just statics out again? what could be the problem? how can I troulbeshoot this.

your tape path could be out of alignment. do you ever see blue lines? you could try using a cleaning tape. most people  don't even realize that these minidv tapes are still tapes hence the drum that reads the signal is just like an old vcr. try buying a cleaning tape and run it threw a couple times. sometimes you can play video fine but recorded video will be distorted. if the cleaning tape does not work you need a tape path alignment. for that your going to have to send it in for service im afraid.

you can send it out to panasonic so they can tell you what the problem is

go to th epanosonic website and call the number and ask what the steps are specifically to do this

they also may be able to help you on the line
