Cameras for photography??

Question

what are some really good cameras for photography??

I've gone through some alright cameras so far...but i really want to upgrade to a awesome camera. Any ideas or opinions??? Thx.

You don't mention which cameras you've used, but if you haven't used a digital SLR, you should definitely consider going in that direction. There is a lot more flexibility with a camera with interchangeable lenses and manual controls.

Canon, Nikon, Olympus, and Sony all make excellent SLR cameras. Find a camera store near you and go down and hold a few different brands of camera. How the camera "feels" in your hand is more important than the technical specs like the number of mega-pixels.
