Team Australia is on tour to Sri Lanka to play a bilateral series, which consists of 3 Tests, 2 T20Is and 5 one day matches.
The series started on August 6 with the 1st T20I, that the Aussies lost by 35 runs after a rip-roaring competition. Sri Lankan skipper, Tillakaratne Dilshan’s marvellous ton led the home team to taste the tremendous victory.
White, who seemed much frustrated two days back, is now optimist of his team’s resurgence as he thinks that the Aussies possess immense aggression that is key to thrive in limited-over format of the game. Moreover, he claims that his players have taken their
first failure as positive and kept their morals intact.
Talking to the media today, the skipper said, “In Twenty20 one thing you don't want to do is to sit back. You need to stay positive and aggressive so that's what we'll talk about and come out in that frame of mind on Monday.”
He further told, “There's a good chance we can square the series.”
Commenting on the home team’s outstanding performance in the 1st match, he stated, “The Sri Lankan team is playing really well. They're a good side in these conditions and it'll be hard work again, but I believe in this side and we can get better.”
White is a middle-order batsman who has played 26 T20I matches so far for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c749.
This two-match series holds great importance for White as a captain as it is being regarded as an acid Test of the Kangaroos’ preparations for the upcoming http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 World T20.
