Cameron White re-signs with the Stars as Shane Warne looks likely to lead them - Cricket News Update
Melbourne Stars have re-signed batsman, Cameron White, and are in discussion with Australian legendary bowler http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Shane-Keith-Warne-c89672 to represent them for a second season running.
Both players were part of the Melbourne franchise during last term however, the possibility of Warne leading the Stars in the upcoming season of the Big Bash League (BBL) looms large after White decided to relinquish his position as the side’s captain.

his stay with the club.
In another major development, Melbourne Stars have also recruited former great and Australian captain http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ian-Michael-Chappell-c63914 as the chairman of selectors.
The franchise’s president Eddie McGuire told that final verdict on Shane Warne’s comeback is still on the cards as the former spin wizard is yet to confirm the new deal. If finalised, Warne will be expected to be named as the Stars new Captain.
“Cameron has stood down as captain of the Melbourne Stars and it was Cameron's decision to do so to concentrate on playing and to concentrate on getting back into that Australian side,” McGuire said.
 “There's no decision yet (on the captaincy) because we're still going through our signings. Shane Warne's name comes up. `Warnie' hasn't been contracted yet,” the Stars President added.
The team management had already announced the inclusions of batsman http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Glenn-Maxwell-c60189, both of whom were bought from the Melbourne Renegades, while Hussey, Wright, Quiney and White have all signed three-year deals.
“Ian (Chappell) will be making those decisions and putting it through the board as the chairman of selectors. With the 14-man deadline coming up (on Friday), we just want to make sure we've got the basis of a fantastic team to go out and win the premiership.”
BBL is an Australian T20 league featuring 8 teams, Sydney Sixers will be defending their title in the next season which is scheduled to be held in December-Jan.  The first match will be held between the two Melbourne franchises.
