Cameron White still optimistic about Australia’s chances in the World T20 – Cricket News Update
Australia’s middle-order batsman, Cameron White, is optimistic about his side’s chances in the ICC World T20 2012 and is not too fazed by the Kangaroos’ poor ranking in the sport’s shortest format.

Australia have generally not done well in the T20 format, although they qualified for the final of the ICC World T20 2010, held in the Caribbean.
The Aussies have struggled against the Pakistani spinners during the on-going tour, drawing criticism from different ranks. With the last encounter scheduled to be played today at Dubai, Pakistan have already sealed the series 2-0.
White however, warned the other teams about writing off the Kangaroos and claims that Australia is always a major threat in global events.
"We finished second in the last [World] T20, Australia traditionally have a good record in big tournaments, so I think we are a good chance going into the tournament," the former T20 skipper expressed.
The 29-year-old cricketer from Victoria admitted that the Baggy Greens are not the best in the world when it comes to the game’s shortest version; however, he is confident that the Kangaroos will improve their ranking during the ICC World T20 2012, which
is going to commence from September 18th in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758.
"We know where we are ranked, you lose a game you go down two or three spots. We haven't been winning enough games, so that's why are down there," White added. "Things can change around quickly, if we get a couple of wins under our belt, start winning in
the World T20, we could easily shoot back up, and if we win it there's no arguments to say we are not the No. 1 in the world."
White himself has been struggling to perform with the bat in international cricket over the last 12 months, which was the prime reason behind http://www.senore.com/Cricket/George-Bailey-c1480 replacing him as the T20 captain. The right-hander would love to turn the tables in the mega tournament.
