Cameron White suggests Australian batsmen must remain vary of the Lankan spinners – Cricket News Update
The proceeding Australia’s Tour to http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758 comes out with more headlines after the visiting side’s Twenty20 (T20) skipper, Cameron White, recently stated that the Australian batsmen will now have to remain vary of what the Sri Lankan spinners have to offer,
following a disappointing loss on the opening T20 series where the Australians were whitewashed by the Lankans with a 2-0 win.
However, the highlight of the event remained to be the Sri Lankan spinner, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/SR-Watson-c2558,
adding a fair half ton to the total.
“It was pretty obvious that once there was a couple of new batters, it was quite hard work. It’s going to be no different during the one-day series. It’ll be hard and tough work for the batsmen against the spinners. Everyone knows that, it's no secret and
it's just going to be about who can come out on top at the end of the series,” said the much dissatisfied White.
In contrast, the T20 skipper also stated that with the arrival of veterans and the star batsmen skipper http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MEK-Hussey-c1942, the team should expect a better comeback due to the strong batting experience held by the
trio.
White also commended Mendis for his exceptional performance during the second T20 bout, stating that the Lankan is a good bowler. However, the Australian also added that the more the team’s batsmen get to face such spinners, the more it would get easier
to face them in future.
For now, White is set to depart back to the outback, since the touring Australians will now precede with the Tour without the player in the upcoming 5 One Day International games (ODI) and 3 Tests fixtures.
Initially, White was excluded from the team’s ODI and Test squads prior to the series, during when the Australian cricketing fraternity was going through some extensive overhauling, all intended towards reviving the team’s top rankings, following some down
sliding performances by the side on the past seasons, especially after the recent Ashes series.
