Cameron White to lead Australia in T20
While the Test series has been declared over today, Michael Clarke has stepped down from captaincy, and now for the T20 format, the team management has appointed Cameron White to lead the home side.
While airing the decision in a statement, the Cricket http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 said, “Cameron White has been named as captain of a 12-man squad for the KFC Twenty20 International series against England, with Tim Paine his deputy.”
White, the 27-year-old right-handed batsman, has represented his team in 23 T20 matches and has made 513 runs with an average of 36 runs.
The visitors from England will have their first T20 match against the hosts on 12 January. The match will be played at Adelaide Oval, while the second match of the series has been reported to take place at Melbourne Cricket Ground with a day’s gap.
The 12-member squad which has been announced for the event also includes two new entrants. One of them is the batsman Aaron Finch, while the other one is the fast bowler James Pattinson.
While briefing the media personnel about extending the opportunity for youngsters to take part into the thrilling series, Andrew Hilditch, the chairman of the National Selection Panel (NSP) said, “The NSP is taking the opportunity to look at some of our

http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Clarke-c51120, who has been leading the Test squad at the final match of the Ashes series while replacing the injured skipper Ricky Ponting, will not take part into T20 matches. Rather, while sitting out, he will try to focus on excelling in his ODI and Test career.
Though Clarke himself is not comfortable with losing the series, Hilditch tried to defend the batsman and said that such an experienced batsman should not be criticized for losing one series. Rather, he praised the performance of the batsman which he displayed
in ICC Twenty20 World Cup and led the team to final.
The chairman NSP also announced the return of Brett Lee and Shaun Tait into the team and said that both of them were explosive bowlers and would add great strength to the team.
