Camp Nou’s David Villa confesses that his goal drought has got him worried.
The creative striker from Barcelona has not been able to score a single goal since February and has started to wonder what element he has lost that is creating this void.
The 29-year-old Spanish attacker, David Villa, recently admitted in a press conference that he has slowed down and this fall in form has come to a point that it is starting to bother him now.
Villa last scored in the Spanish La Liga on the 26th of February, 2011, in an encounter against Real Mallorca and at international level he found the net against Czechoslovakia in the round stages of the Euro 2012 Qualifiers on the 25th
of March, 2011.
The player commented on his status, saying, "Like everybody else, I'm now starting to get worried about my goal drought as well".
"There's not really much I can do to get back my scoring boots except keep working very hard".
Then the 29-year-old started reflecting on their last week’s loss against El Madrid in the Copa del Rey Final.
In consideration of that, it is about time for Barcelona to get back into shape and Villa said about the matter, "It's important for us to stay calm. The team gives everything to get good results in the closing stages of the season."
