Camp Rock or High School Musical?

When HSM came out, it was an original concept, bringing musical theatre to the next generation. It was natural, and partly cheesy, with slightly unoriginal themes, but at the time it was entertaining.

Camp Rock, however, was trying to copy it in so many ways, and would of succeeded except for the fact that:

1. There was barely any "rock" music

2. It was made so obvious that it was edited in a studio that it sucked

3. The writing was even cheesier and the plot was recycled.

4. The only thing it had was the "original" idea of a reock and roll camp, which really isn't that original because they did something like that on the Simpsons, and there are already real camps like that.

5. The characters were unreal and too "predictable"

6. It was made under the ever-large shadow of High School Musical

7. The entire thing was a [failed] publicity stunt.

i saw that (i was forced to watch it in school).

Camp Rock was actually something I could sit down and watch.

Highschool Musical....it made me get up a lot and get distracted easily.
