  1. You do not say what kind of camp this is...I will tell you what i bring when I camp.  Many times I camp in just a field, or woods, or somewhere by a river or stream...it is called primitive camping.  I keep my trailer stocked at all times, with hay, bring enough hay (1/2 bale per day per horse) plus a couple of bales just in case.  If you know that there will be no stream or water, bring a barrel of water in the trailer.  Enough feed for the planned stay plus again in case of emergency stay.  Of course tack, and grooming bag,fly sheets or blankets since the horse will be picketed with out shelter.  PIcket line too.  I prefer to feed hay off the ground if it is not wet and muddy, then I use the hay net.

Bug spray, for you and the horse.  Fly mask.  Saddle bags.  Treats for the horse if you and the horse are in the habit.  Cell phone and map of trails, and a GPS if you are going out on all day trails and unfamiliar trails.  I will not go into what you need, you know what you are comfortable wearing.  Bring lots of food that is easy to carry in the saddle bag for those breaks and lunches on the trail.  I prefer to BBQ and cook outside rather than gum up the walls and ceilings of the trailer.  Yeah I know...roughing it huh?   lol  Good luck with you get away...a 2 week stay is great for starting out on.  You will get the bug and get further away from home for longer periods...last summer I left with my horse and did not get back home for 7 weeks..have fun.
