Camping in Mallorca... ?

Question

We are thinking of a way to get away from this terrible weather on a budget. We were thinking of a cheap flight to mallorca, taking a tent, and then renting a car from the airport for the week and camping it out. Are there many camp sites on the island that you can just arrive and stay ? prefer to go to Alcudia area ? any advise gratefully recieved xx

Mallorca is VERY touristic though

But usually the weather is good
