I'm planning on going on a camping trip at teh end of august beginning of September for 3 or 4 days... where would be good to go? I live in Saskatchewan but would rather leave the province... however if you know a nice place I'm willing to try that as well.

I would preferably like a place thats not very touristy and that has a good beach and possibly good rentals (like canoes, bikes, boats, etc)

  1. Penticton B.C

    beautiful!!!!!!

  2. If you head west, and into the mountains, there are plenty of lakes there but it is touristy and the lakes are not warm enough to swim in with out turning blue

I would suggest heading into the states,  northern Minnisota,  or Wisc have lots of lakes there or even southern Manitoba if you want to stay in Canada.

  3. I would suggest vancouver island in BC but you only have a few days. I would just stay in sask. You could go to Banff in Alberta....YOu don't really have enough time...

  4. If you are looking to go to the mountains without to much tourists then go to Waterton National Park. It is far more quieter than what you see in Banff or Jasper. There is boat rentals on Cameron Lake which is beautiful. I am sure you won't be disappointed. There is bike rentals in the town of Waterton. They even have a nice boat cruise into Goat Haunt, Montana which is another great thing to do. Beautiful scenery all the way there once you head into the mountains.
