I want to go camping in a few weeks but need to find a good place. I went to savannah state park last year and it was not a good time. Too far from the lake, too many people and alot of noise. This year I want to have some quiet time and some good fishing. Any help would be great. Thanks.

  1. Try the Superior hiking trail.  Their are very few people and the majority of the trail cris crosses lakes and rivers/ streams with some great fishing.  If you havent hiked there you are in for a experience.  The trail is 150 miles long with several parking lots and camp sites.  It is very beautiful.

  2. I agree Maple wood would be what you are looking for.

I plan on going there pretty soon also.

  3. Many of the State Parks offer great camping.  I like Maplewood by Pelican Rapids.....several campgrounds offered to get you some peace and quiet and lots of lakes....

  4. If you have a boat. Voyagers national park, By the boundry waters offers great fishing and so beautiful scenery.
