Camping in newquay, how much petrol to get there

right, can anyone tell me roughly how much petrol will be needed on average for a 1.2 renault clio to drive from taunton (TA1) to newquay with 5 passengers, thats there and back!

from dorset to newquay and back with 2 passengers and a car load of stuff - literally LOADS - in a toyota corrola was about a tank and a half, plus we got quite lost. If youre driving economically, a tank there and a tank back should be plenty.

if you want to know more exactly... check how many miles you'll be travelling and then check your manual for fuel consumption!

Its about 240 miles to 260 miles round trip (depending on the route you take).

My 1.4 car with mostly just me in it will do 36mpg, or about 7.5 miles to the litre. With a heavy loaded car your 1.2 might do about the same.

250 miles will take about 34 litres.

Approx 240 miles there and back average of 32mpg = 7.5 Gallons or 36.6ltrs

All this is dependant on how old your car is, what condition, the way you drive and traffic.
