Campsite Ideas, Lakedistrict?

Question

I am wanting to go camping for the weekend around lake windameer, somewhere close to fun stuff to do Does anyone know of any good campsite for couples?? Also do you know if you can build outside fires etc??

Have you considered a Youth hostel? There's a great one in Ambleside,(near to Windemere, and My son-in-law works there) They not only have cheap accommodation, but can organise some great activities too. With the weather so un-predictable in the Lakes, it might be a more comfortable option than camping. (just a thought)
