  1. Yes, if it's fairly large. Think of a 10 rpm waterwheel....is there <3-5 kg of water flowing over that wheel?  If yes, you can convert the energy to move 3-5 kg.

    Option-  Higher voltage DC flowing to motor/((more water flowing), or introduction of gears.

    Of course, most water wheels do have rudimentary gear assemblies.
