  1. Yes, of course. Unless he's allergic to dairy.

  2. Yes as long as they are whole and not low fat.

  3. Yes.... Just not Strawberry Yogurt

  4. the little girl i watch is 11 months and she has yo baby every morning for breakfast

  5. only chunky peanut flavored

  6. should be fine, only problem is if they have had dairy items already and had a bad reaction to them such as cheese, milk, etc. If they have had them and no ill effects or they havent had them yet thats fine but the baby can have yogurt....my daughter is 11 months old and has had yogurt already....

  7. yup, you can introduce whole fat yogurt between 6-9 months

  8. If you have already introduced some dairy.... and they haven't had a problem with it..... then yes.... yogurt should be fine.  But.... there is also a yo-baby yogurt..... that is made especially for babies.   Some brands even have DHA and ARA added to them.  I recommend the yo-baby yogurt..... my son loves the stuff.

  9. Barring no issues w/ dairy so far, yes.

The link about dairy fat is interesting.  I always wondered why it was such a big deal for a young child still breastfeeding or having formula to have full fat dairy products.  It made no sense to me.  I wonder where that advice stemmed from originally?  I'll make sure not to give full fat dairy to my children, the whole point, I thought, was for brain development!

  10. yoghurt has digestive enzymes.good for the baby.dont give toomuch.just try abt two table spoons to start with, for a week and slowly increase

  11. yes, they can.

And the whole fat vs. low fat is not really a big deal for a baby.  If he/she is getting enough good fats, then dairy fat is not necessary as it is mostly saturated fat and high in cholesterol.  Cow's milk does not contain any of the essential fatty acids necessary for brain and body growth in young children.

So, give yogurt... but organic low fat or fat free, and an avocado on the side!  YoBaby is marketing.  Not specially formulated for babies. Just buy the regular Stonyfield lower fat yogurts... they just put some in cute more expensive containers for parents to drool over and brag about how great YoBaby is!!!

(and when you're ready to introduce cow's milk into baby's diet... go w/ a lower fat too... whole milk is NOT necessary, and if a kid drinks too much, can actually be harmful!!)
