Can 2.1 speakers be added to my 21'' CRT television ?

I have BPL CRT colour T.V..

Model no. is " FWR 21 ". It has a total of four outputs.Two at the front (audio & video) and two at the back (audio & video) .

  1. Thats always a good idea or option. I thought of doing the same thing time and again. It'll certainly outperform the TV internal speakers. Of course anyone can fit those PC speakers to a CRT TV if it have a sound or earphone line out.

  2. The audio output mentioned is stereo output,hence buy an audio cable which splits into left channel and right channel cable like a "Y" ,1 goes in 2 out. This way you have 2 channel audio, now buy a decent 2.1 which needs input as 2 channel (L-R),plug those 2 pins in the audio-set and you will have  2.1 working.Remember you still have to adjust the audio power using the 2.1 and NOT T.V remote as audio output of TV is fixed to some default min. 2.1 Remote Indeed !)

  3. Your television have only one audio jack so it is clear your TV is not supported for 2.1 channel
