  1. Well, yes you can keep them together. Just no male. Or else, more babies. Yea, you can keep the mother and one baby together if you want. They most likely won't fight. Have a good time with your hammys!

  2. Depends on the breed of hamster. There are 3.5 types of dwarf hamster, Russian, Robo, Chinese [Well, they are solitary], and Winter white.

  3. Dwarf hamsters can live together if they are from the same litter or have been introduced at the same young age.If they are not from the same litter or have an age difference, they can fight too. In a few rare cases, litter mates can also viciously fight since one might decide to have the "dominate" character over the other.

If you are planning on keeping one of the litter with the mother hamster, then it is fine, you can go ahead and do it. The mother hamster and her daughter hamster can live together peacefully in the same cage for life. Of course, do not put a male hamster from the litter with the mother since they can inbreed and it is unhealthy for the ensuing litter.

Make sure you give her lots of clean food and water and supplement her protein intake by giving her bits of hard boiled egg whites, bits of unsalted cheese and little quantities of skimmed milk. Also supplement her regular food with pieces of fresh vegetables like carrots. Throw away any stale food after a day. Try to put the cage in an area where she has the least disturbance from noises and activities.

Read up on the internet on how to handle pregnant hamsters and hamster babies so that when she delivers a litter, you would be confident about how to handle the situation. The following link will give you all the information -

The main point is not to touch the pups for two weeks after they are born since their scent would change and mama hamster would kill them.

  4. yes keep them together

  5. Yes 2 dwarf hamsters can live together without fighting. Make sure they are the same s*x so they don't keep re-producing though. Male hamsters are more teritorial than female hamsters. If you are planning to breed then make sure that you do not touch the babies when they are young or the mother may reject them and kill them. I think a mother hamster would eat the same food as normal.

Good luck and I hope this helps

  6. Well, they can live with eachother for the first couple weeks, but then you have to seperate them cause they might fight. Just keep feeding the mother what your feeding her. Dont touch the babies, if human smell gets on them, the mother feels threatend and will eat them. Dont let the babies get mixed with gender when they get older, cause if they breed then thats called inbreeding which is when they are littermates that bred. The babies can turn out very bad like one ear, 1 eye bigger then the other, without any whiskers.

  7. yes they can as long as they are from the same litter some do fight some dont good luck
