Can 2 light brown spots 4 days before my period be implantation bleeding?

My period is due in 3 days now and I had a couple of very light, light brown spots yesterday. There is no spotting today so far. We are TTC and I was just curious if this could be the month. Any ideas? Thanks!

  1. "Implantation bleeding normally occurs a week to a few days before your period would normally start. Spotting that occurs around a week after ovulation is likely implantation bleeding; whereas, spotting that occurs very close to the time that your period would normally start may not be. "

"Implantation bleeding is fairly common with pregnancy. Twenty to thirty percent of women will have spotting during early pregnancy. If you have some light spotting before your period would normally start this is not something to worry about and may be a sign of pregnancy."

So it sounds like though it is relatively rare, it does happen- since you were 4 days before your period, it COULD be implantation bleeding- do you ever get spotting before your period? If you do then that may be what it is, I get that all the time. But it IS possible you are pregnant! I never experienced implantation bleeding but that doesn't mean you aren't! Baby dust!

  2. Brown spotting can mean anything.  It can be caused by fluctuation in hormones (impending period) or outside factors like any irritation from meds or sexual activity.

I was hopeful too when I experienced spotting at 6dpo and then again 9-11dpo. Unfortunately, my period arrived shortly thereafter on 13dpo.

I guess what I'm saying is: Yes, it can be but it can also be due to something else. Good luck!

  3. I dont know why many women ask about implantation bleeding. In real life, most women dont have it. Many posted same questions end up not pregnant. It just the beginning of their period or period being early. Pregnancy sign is missed period not bleeding like many women here wish for it.

  4. well for one thing you can still bleed while pregnant...it doesn't necessarily mean it is your period but you can bleed....My mom bled for 4 months while pregnant with me and my sis...So Brooke look up your facts.........
