  1. Nope, you have to be 21 to drink. The law is the law.

    Good luck

  2. You should be able to enter a restaurant that serves alcohol.  But there is absolutely no chance of being served until you're 21.

As for going to a nightclub or a bar, you'll have to wait another year.

  3. in all honesty, i dont know what these people are talking about but i have been to prolly 30 bars in all parts of nyc and have never ever been carded ever. never even questioned and im 21 but i have friends who are alot younger and have come in with me and have never had problems either. even in coney island there are a million liquer places that are quick to sell liguor to anyone

  4. Liquor licenses are expensive and proprietors tend to like keeping them...so no you will not be served alcohol if you are under 21

  5. NY has some of the toughest liquor laws in the country - NO ONE under 21 will be admitted into the bar, and absolutely not served liquor. A liquor license costs an establishment more than fifteen thousand dollars a year just to have - if they get caught breaking the rules, the penalties and headaches involved are not worth it.

  6. Sorry.........21..........unless you want to go to jail.......if you don't like it you can always stay at home......

  7. Nope. If alcohol is such an important part of your life, i suggest you stay in Ireland. Therefore you won't have to go a day without it.

Whatever you do, don't ever plan on traveling to Saudi Arabia --- alcohol is outlawed there, no matter what age the person is.  Weird?????????

Edit: Since when does Coke have alcohol?

  8. Legal drinking age is 21. Better wait till you get back home if you want to break the law.

  9. No, you have to be 21 to drink Alcohol in NY

  10. No, the law here is 21 and up.

You might be able to go into certain bars and order something non-alcoholic. I'm not sure about that. (The laws have changed since I was your age. When I first moved to NYC in the 1970s, it was 18 and up. But sometime in the 1980s it was raised to 21 and up, to match the laws in neighboring states.)

So you might be able to order a coke in some bars, if they don't card at the door. Then, if you don't order alcohol, you might not get carded at all.

  11. no
