I'm not a muscular guy, scrawny and nerdy.

I'm wanting to start to hit the weights, I'm wondering

if this is enough weight for biceps. I know I have to work

other parts too, I'm just wondering about this weight for biceps.

  1. If you can lift the weights 15 times for 3 reps and feel a good burn, then yes.

If you don't feel anything, then you need more weights.

And if you Cant do the 25lbs 15 times for 3 reps, don't feel bad, go to a lower weight and try that.  You dont want to injure yourself right from the get go.

    Good luck

  2. Hello it is well publicised that diets fail over 90% of the time. I advise that you take a look around http://www.newloseweight.com its a great site with tons of free tips and tricks. I lost 8 pounds in seven weeks by taking their advice

  3. You won’t get big bulging biceps but it will make you stronger. Generally speaking the heavier the weight the larger the muscles will grow but a lighter weight lifted more times will tone and strengthen the muscles.  However, you will certainly notice them growing larger if you are a "scrawny and nerdy" person.  25lbs should be okay, however, depending on how little muscle you have (I mean that in a nice way) 25lbs may be to hard for you.

Good luck and just remember to keep at it.

  4. well for one

the 2nd answer has NO idea what there talking about

they dont even know what reps and sets are...

    for 2

    can you lift it?

    for 3

    do you have good form

    for 4

how many times can you lift it with good form

    for 5

what other things are you incorporating? heavy row movements, strate barbell curls, hammer curls etc....dumbell curls arent going to do anything if you dont have other things

    for6

you should keep the reps at 4-6 and have other movements with it
